For riders who want to escape traffic and push new limits on rugged terrain, this purpose-built wheel system offers the ultimate in versatility. The Ksyrium Pro Disc Allroad combines smooth-riding control with high-performance responsiveness. Engineered with our new ISM 4D technology (Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions), which removes excess material from the rim but keeps it around the spokes where tension is applied, keeps the rim weight at an impressive 430g. The wheelset weighs only 1620g total. A wide rim (19mm inner rim width) is the secret to this wheel’s versatility, particularly when paired with a Mavic tire. The 28mm Yksion Elite Guard tire features a bead-to-bead polyamide belt that reinforces its 120 TPI casing for puncture and side cut protection. Its well-balanced rubber compound and specific tread pattern offers optimal control in wet or dry conditions. For rougher terrain, you can choose the 30mm Yksion Elite Allroad tire. You get the same puncture protection plus 10% more air volume for extra comfort and traction. The tread pattern combines a file tread with taller side knobs for maximum rolling efficiency plus cornering control, even on rough gravel or dirt. The tires are tubeless for a smoother ride and less risk of flats. This ultra-capable wheel system is built specifically for disc brakes, featuring 24 Zicral aluminum spokes and lacing patterns that are designed to evenly distribute brake torque. It’s compatible with 6-Bolt or Center Lock rotors. The front hub is convertible from 12mm to 15mm thru-axle or quick release. The rear wheel features our updated Instant Drive 360 freewheel system that engages twice as fast as the previous version. It comes with a 12x142 thru-axle and is convertible to quick release. The freewheel system is compatible with Shimano/SRAM and can be converted to Campagnolo or SRAM XD with optional driver bodies.
