The Yksion Pro UST offers the best blend of low rolling resistance, grip and comfort, a trilogy that is usually impossible to reconcile.
The rolling efficiency has been measured 15% lower than a tubetype equivalent in our lab and in real life.
Our testers have also found it super fast in wet turns, bringing them an unmatched confidence.
Being tubeless, it can be run at lower pressure (about 1 bar / 15PSI less) than a standard tubetype tyre, with no loss of efficiency and with less risk of pinch flat.
And what's usualy the achille heel of tubeless (mounting and servicing) has been solved by developing it together with our own wheels for tighter tolerances. The stretchable kevlar beads are super easy to mount and dismount. With just 30g of sealant, it's as airtight as a butyl tube and offers a nice puncture protection.
Available in 25mm or 28mm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seal Well, Prone to Nicks and Cuts I have a love/hate relationship with the Mavic Ksyrium Pro UST Wheels and Ykison Pro UST Tires. I love the fact that they are one pound lighter than my 2012 Mavic Ksyrium Elite Clinchers. I also love the fact that this tire and wheel setup is much less harsh riding. But... I hate the fact that I had to replace the rear tire after only two weeks of riding - less than 100 miles. The good news is that the cut actually sealed. The bad news is that the cut was so bad that I had to replace the rear tire. I purchased a second tire just to be safe as this is my daily commuter. I really was expecting at least 6-months of life out of these tires.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed... deep cut after only 40 miles Tires are *really* hard to install and remove on Mavic Comete Pro SL UST wheels, unlike their videos show. Rode 3 times and after only 40 miles I had a deep cut which the sealant couldn't fix. Had to plug with dynaplugs which let me get home. Got home, removed tire and plug, tire looks non-repairable. Can't find this tire in stock anywhere to purchase. Also, can't fit my [other brand] tire with tubes as they're impossible to fit on the Comete wheel. My [other brand] tire survived 5,288 miles riding on the same roads. Had 5 flats over 5,288 miles (yes, I keep track of this) but never a cut like this. Now I'm stuck with a nice Mavic wheel but no tire to go with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great ride, great grip, but cuts easily I really like the ride and grip of these tires at 87 psi on my new Cosmic Pro Elites. However, in my first two rides I got slices in the tires that lead to blowing out all of the sealant in the rear tire to the point where I had to call for a ride. I pulled the tire and patched the inside, re-mounted (more difficult than the first time), and added sealant. This worked for a while, but again got cuts that resulted in losing all the sealant a second time. Pulled the tire again, patched the inside, and am running again. I see sealant on my frame every ride though so I can see they continue to leak. I'm running the 25mm and wonder if the 28mm would be any better?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really Fragile Adding to the chorus of bad reviews about durability. Riding in normal late-fall conditions in Northern California, on roads and paved trails exclusively, the front tire got badly damaged after less than a month. In fact, the first puncture occurred roughly 2 weeks into owning the wheels and tires, and gotten to the point that sealant and Dynaplugs would no longer hold. To add insult to injury - I cannot even order the tires from Mavic, since they appear to be out of stock in perpetuity. Really disappointed by this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prone to Flats I went through at least 4 rear tires last year in less than 3,000 miles. Flatted on my very first ride in January 2018 after waiting 2 month for the thru-axle adapter to be made available. Typically after about 200-300 miles blisters appear on the side wall and then appear on the tread with a flat flowing not long after. I've managed to wedge a pair of Conti GP 5000 TLs on, they're much faster. But this defeats the purpose as if I flatted on the road it would be extremely hard to get the tire off much less get a tube in and get the tire back on. As the wheels and tires are marketed as a system this is disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Traction, Ride, Durability Got these with a set of wheels and am nothing short of amazed at the performance. Grip in corners is great - easily cleared a section without braking that I haven't done since I was young and foolish. The other thing is that I can run these at 70 to 80 psi and get the benefit of a smooth ride plus low rolling resistance.I am a light climber type so the rear tire always wears out first. I have over 2000 miles on the rear and it is getting a little thin. I've had 2 "psst" moments where the tire sealed itself losing 10 and 20 psi in the process but allowing me to continue riding. I'm going to replace the set at the end of the season and keep the front as a spare.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish tubeless worked better for road bikes I upgraded my wheel set to the mavic tubeless system shortly after it came out based on my bike shop's suggestion. I needed new wheels after I got hit by a car. For whatever reason the bike shop never installed the tubeless tires so I went back to them and had the tires put on a few months back. unfortunately they leak and get the bike dirty with sealant. it seems the system was not built to withstand small side punctures as they just don't seal. It may seal for a few mins/hours but goes back to 30/40 PSI by the time I get home. I loved the idea of getting tubeless so I would no longer need to worry about flats but clearly the tech just isn't there for road bikes yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wear and life I ride in the desert where there are lots of puncture and cut hazards. I have over 4500km on my front tire (and still going) and have gone through 2 rear tires in that time. I switched out my first rear tire because it was losing about 40psi overnight and when I replaced it there were 3 pieces of wire through the rubber (that your could not see from the outside) that had resealed. It really was just worn out. The second tire only got about 400km and it was cut by a piece of metal on the road. The slice was 10mm long with a 2mm hole, but it resealed after a few minutes and I added CO2 and continued to ride over 100km. I am 180lbs and ride at 79psi, which gives a great ride. I might even go lower. My only criticism would be that the tires lack a wear indicator so that you know when they are getting too thin and need to be changed out.
