The Cosmic Elite is a perfect entry point into high-level race performance. This all-new UST Road Tubeless system delivers a smoother ride and improved puncture resistance while retaining a lightweight feel for climbing and accelerating.
By removing the tube, we’ve also removed friction—so there’s less rolling resistance, which means it requires less energy to reach higher speeds. The UST system, including the sealant that makes the tires more resistant to punctures, is also 40g lighter than a traditional tube and tire system. Wind tunnel testing led us to create a 30mm deep rim that optimizes aero performance and improves stability in crosswinds. The alloy rim benefits from our unrivaled experience creating light yet strong rim extrusions. We do this by carefully tuning the thickness of the rim wall to hit the sweet spot between stiffness, strength and weight.
Pedaling torque is efficiently transferred with our FTS-L freewheel system, which is light, smooth, stiff and easy to service. The hub easily converts from Shimano/SRAM to Campagnolo cassette.
The Cosmic Elite comes with our Yksion Pro UST tires, which deliver a very low rolling resistance to further enhance the efficiency of these wheels.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed - not a fan of tubeless Initially no problems despite high air loss with all recommended sealant etc, then after a few weeks I got a puncture. Tyres are very expensive and hard to find (almost no one stocks them!) so being a new tyre with few miles I repaired it with an internal patch. Wheel still struggled to hold pressure. Removed tyre to check for damage to sealing face but none found. Then unable to re-seat tyre back on rim despite using track pump - would not 'snap' out of center groove as supposed to (too much leakage). Also snapped 2 tyre levers trying to get it back on the rim - and I'm no novice! The thought of having to try and do this at the side of the road to get home has made me run them with tubes. losing all benefits I bought them for. Really regret experimenting with tubeless tyres. Even Mavic can't solve the typical problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, stable all round wheelset I bought this wheelset about a year ago and I am not disappointed. Originally, I bought these to be used as a commuter set. Because of an issue with another wheelset I had these became me primary wheels. The wheels are built rock solid and are stable. The 1800 gram weight wasn't really felt. I took these wheels to Hong Kong because they were the only non-carbon set I had available. The wheel felt stable going down hill and the weight wasn't holding me back going up hill. When I went to tubeless it wasn't a difficult process. It can get messy, but isn't difficult. Patience is key. As tubeless wheels, these felt great. The only down side to the tubeless set up were the Mavic tires. I found the tires wore too fast and easily got cuts in them. This wheelset is a good for training or anyone just starting out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great tubeless idea, terrible execution I got these tubeless wheels/tires four months ago, and LOVED them! Great handling/traction, low rolling resistance (I added 1.0-1.5 mph just by going to these wheels and tires), a ride as smooth as butter. I thought I'd never go back, and I sold a pair to a customer at my store. But one tire started blistering after a couple of weeks. Mavic sent me a replacement, no problem. But a week or two later, I lost air pressure in that tire during a ride, and despite repeated efforts, I can't get it to hold air now. I would try replacing the rim tape, but it's been out of stock for weeks now. So all I have is an expensive tube-and-clincher setup now, and I didn't get to use the advantages listed above in my big race of the year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One tough wheel I have had two good wrecks on the bike with these wheels and my mechanic says they are still great. Not even a trueing needed. One wreck was an almost head with a curb. I have not had a problem mounting them but have recently had trouble with holes sealing. I am running clinchers and tubes now just due to tie cost.
