Reliable braking performance

Refined iTgMax brake track improves braking distances in both dry and wet conditions

At only 1190g, this carbon tubular wheel is the lightest in the Ksyrium family. It’s an ideal choice for the battle against gravity, helping you tackle long climbs with less energy. To create our lightest rims—only 320g despite their generous 23mm width—we used groundbreaking Finite Element Simulation software. This low rim weight equals low inertia for fast acceleration, agile descents and instant deceleration. Double-butted stainless steel spokes and the lightest hub ever produced by Mavic further contribute to the ultralight weight. But designing the best climbing wheel is about more than just weight. Isopulse lacing and 24 rear spokes produce better spoke tension balance and higher stability. That means plenty of lateral stiffness with just enough vertical compliance for excellent overall comfort and tire traction on rough roads. The Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL T also delivers best-in-class braking performance. Our exclusive TgMax technology uses heat treatment and surface preparation to reduce wet-weather stopping distance by 50% compared to the closest competitor. The system comes with our high-end Yksion Pro Tubular tires. These 25mm tires offer maximum rolling efficiency and a great ride quality at an impressive weight of just 270g. The front tire gets our Griplink tread pattern for cornering grip in all conditions. The rear tire offers our Powerlink design for minimum rolling resistance and absolute efficiency.

GripLink

GripLink

Grip and control
A front tyre, whether a clincher or a tubular, must fully liberate the wheel’s ability to hold the ground and control the bike. Therefore, GripLink tyres are optimized for front use, by offering a superior grip and extra puncture protection.

Isopulse

Isopulse

Optimum energy transfer
The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and crossed 2 on the non drive side to maximise drive side dish, thus providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.

PowerLink

PowerLink

Low rolling resistance
A rear tyre, whether a clincher or a tubular, must fully liberate the wheel’s ability to transfer power and generate speed. Therefore, PowerLink tyres are optimized for rear wheel use, by minimizing the rolling resistance.

QRM

QRM

Qualité de Roulements Mavic
Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.

Instant Drive 360

Instant Drive 360

The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and fast to engage with only 9°. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.

iTgMAX

iTgMAX

Integral Glass Transition Temperature
iTgMAX consists in an inner rim bed finished with multiple layers of seamless carbon fiber to achieve a unique one-piece rim contour without cutting any fibers. The brake track is then finished with a laser machining to ensure the best braking efficiency
