Engineered to perform over the long haul, the Ksyrium Disc is a natural evolution of our popular Ksyrium wheel. Designed specifically for disc-brake use, the rims feature patented ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) technology for the perfect balance of durability and light weight. The rims are laced to smooth-rolling QRM bearing hubs with strong straight-pull spokes. We’ve also increased the spoke count from 20 to 24, for both the front and the rear wheel, to handle the high torque levels that disc brakes produce. The Ksyrium Disc is designed for quick release hubs, and there are three versions available to meet every rotor and cassette standard: Standard 6-Bolt in Shimano/SRAM and Campagnolo; and Center Lock in Shimano/SRAM. The system includes 25mm Yksion Elite tires front and rear. Their special compound provides a good balance of low rolling resistance and secure cornering grip, in wet or dry conditions. And at just 215 grams, they enhance the Ksyrium Disc’s ability to accelerate and climb with speed and efficiency.

Qualité de Roulements Mavic
Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.

FTS-L

FTS-L

Force Transfer System Light
Reinforcement of key transmission components: the contact area between the pawl and the hub body is reinforced by 2 stainless steel inserts, which allows the use of a 100% aluminum hub body.

ISM

ISM

Inter Spoke Milling
An exclusive Mavic patented concept, ISM involves the machining of the lower bridge of the rim between each spoke hole to create a light and rigid rim without reducing the durability of the rim.
