Yksion Pro UST is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Having bought a Cosmic wheel set with a view to just a wheel upgrade, but as the set was complete with Yksion Pro UST tyres already installed and on advice of the advantage of tubeless set up decided to give tubeless a chance. Rear tyre holds pressure well so far but unable to comment on how it holds up on the road as the front will not hold pressure. Have tried several times, removed inspected, cleaned and refitted with still no joy. Will be trying with different rim tape after Christmas but won’t be holding out much hope. As theses were supplied already fitted to the rims very disappointing in the quality from a company such as Mavic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great new wheels - tyres too flimsy I have 4 pairs of Mavic wheels, including 3 sets of Ksyriums of varying vintages. I bought the latest to try out tubeless tyres and this hasn't gone well. I did a short ride after adding the sealant and used the wheels this weekend on an Armistice ride from Calais to Compiègne. A short while into day 2 the back tyre, inflated to 82-84 psi blew, there were no large objects of flint anywhere in the vicinity and the road was clean and smooth, I can only conclude that the split in the tyre was larger than the object that caused it as the tyre blew. Not impressed, I have a lot of Mavic products and I can't see how these are durable enough. Even the older Yksion tyres were more durable than this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the performance, but question fragile tyres I bought a set of Ksyrium Elite Disc wheels which come with the Yksion Pro UST 25mm tyres for my winter bike. Previous wheels had 28mm (not Mavic). I’m impressed with the lower rolling resistance and there is a noticeable improvement in comfort (not huge, but then 25mm vs 28mm, so expected). The pressure drops overnight (even from new), but also expected this as a trade off to puncture resistance. However, I can’t remember the last time I had a puncture with the previous tyres, but in only 300 miles have had 4 on the rear and now a large gash on the front means it needs replacing as it won’t seal properly. Tyres have sealed enough for me to get home, which was great. However, these tyres do seem fragile for winter conditions, which has taken the edge off a great set of wheels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wheels great, tyres not so much these came with a set of Ksyrium Elite UST wheels, while the wheels have been perfectly fine, the tyre have had some serious gashes on them after only a few months of serious riding. One of which is now too big to fix and plug. the price of which for a new tyre seems to be rather expensive too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They work extremely well with Mavic UST wheels So far I have completed just over 500Km with them on the road and some cycle track. This time of year (November) there is always twigs, glass and other small bits of debris lying around so its kinda hard to miss. They have performed well and were an easy fit, sealing with no problems. I had a puncture which was noticed as I was moving and could feel the front tyre go soft. It hadn't sealed immediately and needed a blast from my CO2 cartridge, which done the trick and got me home. Using my footpump put the pressure to 80 psi and left it overnight, the photo is the next morning when it had sealed

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tubeless Tyres Got my new Canyon Endurace CF SL with Mavic wheels and tubeless tyres installed ,i decided to give tubeless a go and removed the fitted inners and installed the fluid to make them tubeless .Installation was a breeze as i have a cheap compressor and a tyre inflator .Performance is very good in my humble opinion and comfort heartily improved and I can feel the difference in my performance particularly on climbs ,I have ridden in both wet and dry conditions and have as good confidence in these tyres as my usual brand of tyres .The issue came yesterday when I had a small puncture which sealed up immediately I spun the tyre with very little sealer needed to seal the small hole, when I got home I examined both front and back tyres an discovered a number of small cuts (2mm) on both this is after a relitively small number of miles (40-50) .The durability of these tyres is suspect in my view and much less than my usual brand I did however get home with no issues which is a godsend given average temp of 3 degrees .So to summarise great product ,great idea ,needs more durability in my view whilst keeping all the current performance

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Wheels But Very Disappointing I bought my Canyon Endurace CF SL and these wheels came with it (one of the main reasons for getting that model of bike), while the cycle to and from work is smooth and a joy to say the least im quite disappointed in these wheels, deep cuts and slashes on the tyres (front and back) causing numerous punchers hasn't given me great confidence moving to tubeless on the roads and to think I've only had the bike around 3 months and im sure this isn't men't to happen... im not mountain biking which i could understand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tyres are disappointing Bought a full new wheelset of Krysium USTs two weeks ago, including the Yksion Pros. I love the responsiveness and stiffness from the rims themselves. However the wheels are not of a comparable level of quality. In fact I would go so far as to say they are unacceptable. They are obviously not designated as sturdy winter tyres but for light riding on fairly normal roads I expected much more. Of the five rides I have been on, I have had 4 small punctures that have not sealed appropriately, after being fitted correctly bike my local bike shop. Last night one tyre failed completely and I am now having doubts at my initial purchase. They are such a bad example for tubeless and I am now at a point where I am going to buy another set of tyres and put inner tubes in for reliability. These are bad examples for tubeless as an up-and-coming superior system. Overall great rims, terrible tyres. As a customer who purchased a product branded as a complete set, I am very disappointed. Avoid the tyres.
