Roll faster and smoother with a reduced risk of punctures.

With UST Road Tubeless, no tube means no friction. So you experience less rolling resistance and higher speeds.
UST Road Tubeless lets you ride with lower tire pressure for smoother ride and a reduced risk of punctures.
Our patented UST system offers a perfect union between tire and wheel, so installation, removal and maintenance are easy.

Lighter, wider rims for quick, comfortable handling.

17 mm internal rim width for increased air volume.
ISM 4D superlight rim.
Double butted steel spokes.

Engineered durability lets you ride more miles without any worries.

Spoke and rim interface are secured with Fore drilling.
Sealed cartridge bearings designed to last many miles.

The Ksyrium Elite road wheel has been a benchmark for reliability, light weight and versatility for more than a decade.

Ksyrium Elite UST is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worn out hub I bought these wheels just over a year ago, they've covered almost 2000 miles. I had to take them into my local bike shop because the freehub had developed some play. The mechanic in the shop tried a brand new freehub body but there was still the same play. On closer inspection he found the hub itself had worn unevenly under the freehub bush, this is why the play only occurs in certain positions and replacing the freehub body would not fix it. So next look we look at replacing the entire hub but it's not available as a replacement part. So I have what I consider a very expensive wheel which has worn out and unrepairable in less than 2000 miles and 12 months and the best I think I can hope for is the wheel lasts the remainder of the season and then I guess I have to replace it. I really expected a lot better from Mavic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer of a wheelset Bought these wheels after 5 years on Ksyrium SLS which proved completely reliable. The tyres went on without any levers and inflated with a standard floor pump. Have now ridden these all through the Winter with no punctures and the rims and spokes have been spot on out of the box. The quietness of the tires surprised me and the bearings and freehub are super smooth. After 6 months I have just refilled the tyres with sealant (my tip, undo the valve core at the 12 o'clock position and then move to 5 o'clock to inject the sealant, no mess at all). I am 75kg and run the front at 80psi with 90 in the rear. The UST is a game changer wheel and tyre combination and the tyre grips as well in the wet or dry as my previous choice (Conti 4000). Well done Mavic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good wheelset Setup was easy. The tyres were already on the rims, which were already setup for tubeless. All I had to do was pump the tyres up, seat the beads, deflate, squeeze in the sealant and pump up the tyres again. They haven’t failed since. I’ve only ridden about 166 miles so far but they haven’t shown any signs of unusual wear, no cuts/slots, no buldges or any other damage. I used the Mavic app to calculate the recommended pressure. I’m 64kg and the app is telling me 71psi front 77psi back for versatility. I previously ran them at full pressure and they did feel too hard. The recommended pressure feels spot on. On to the wheels. The hubs are smooth, the rims are pretty stiff, the freehub works just fine, would have liked more engagement points but I can’t complain. Out the box the wheels didn’t have any problems, no loose spokes etc. I only had to tighten the hub slightly. I’ve been riding on lovely road of Southampton City Centre and country lanes between here and Winchester, so you’re usual mix of good and bad, pot holes and stretch of roads comparable to the cobbles of Paris Roubaix. The wheels are still true, spokes tight and tyres in great condition. What else is there to say? Oh yeah, the Mavic logo on the hubs and rims are just stickers. A bit cheap in my opinion but hey, whatever. At least you can take them off and save some extra weight ha. I’ve been thinking of switching to the 28mm but they’re quite pricey for a pair to a newbie road rider. Maybe when the 25mm pair has had it I’ll switch to the 28mm. Would I recommend? I guess so but I’ve never tried anything else, this is my first road bike!

UST Tubeless Ready

UST Tubeless Ready

Traction, control and lightweight
The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats.
The 'tubeless ready' construction results in a lighter tyre for improved performance.

Light and strong
Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminum alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

Qualité de Roulements Mavic +
Our most demanding level. Those cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance, and toped with a micro-adjustability system.

Stronger and smoother joint
Soudé Usiné Process. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.

Force Transfer System Light
Reinforcement of key transmission components: the contact area between the pawl and the hub body is reinforced by 2 stainless steel inserts, which allows the use of a 100% aluminum hub body.

Optimum energy transfer
The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and crossed 2 on the non drive side to maximise drive side dish, thus providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.

Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions
An exclusive Mavic patented concept, ISM 4D significantly reduces weight and inertia without compromising durability. Quicker accelerations, better handling and more resistance ; the right mix to make the most of any ride. The smooth profile also helps reducing aerodynamic drag

Stiffer and stronger
Instead of being drilled, the lower rim bridge is pushed up on the inside, then threaded to enable the spoke nipples to be directly screwed in it, leaving the upper rim bridge intact.

On typical UK roads and doing the odd bunny-hop, clatter up kerbs and ploughing into several potholes I can report, these wheels are as bombproof as the previous model, with no truing required throughout testing. Stiffness is good too, with no noticeable flex or brake rub noted when sprinting or climbing.
